Guests: 200

Location: Prestwold Hall, Loughborough

A garden party with a disco soul.

Potter Clarkson came to us looking for a summer celebration with charm. Something boutique. Something bold. They wanted an outdoor venue within 45 minutes of their office, with space for stretch tents, live music, garden games, and creative flair—somewhere to bring their full team together in a setting that felt a world away from the office.

We found the perfect setting in Prestwold Hall—a grand stately home with beautifully kept gardens and the wow-factor backdrop to match. Once the venue was secured, we got to work creating something worthy of the surroundings.

We proposed a creative direction that fused disco energy with a relaxed, garden party aesthetic. Think mirror balls and foliage, elegant seating, and playful props. This visual identity ran through everything—from the digital invites to the signage, LED tents, and custom-built photo moments.

We dressed the grounds with:

  • Bespoke signage and foliage-covered backdrops

  • Giant branded deckchairs, garden swings and a huge welcome sign

  • Two stretch tents, one of which hosted a ‘sip and paint’ session

  • Chesterfield sofas and low tables, for lounging in style

As guests arrived, they were welcomed with a BBQ—plenty of options, no one left out. Later, we served up wood-fired pizzas and fresh salads, with drinks available from the indoor bar, a mobile bar, and wheelbarrows full of chilled cans scattered across the grounds. Signature cocktails added a final touch of theatre.

We kept guests entertained all afternoon and evening:

  • Lawn games including chess, crazy golf, Jenga and Connect 4

  • A full sports day with team games and rounders

  • Live rockeoke band

  • A caricaturist capturing the fun

  • And props galore for that all-important social content

A brief burst of freak weather hit just after lunch—gale-force winds and a flash storm. But our team were ready. While guests sheltered at the indoor bar, we raced to reset the space: repositioning props, drying furniture, and putting everything back in place. By the time the sun reappeared, the event looked untouched.

The setting, the energy, the personal touches—everything landed.

Guests had a brilliant time, and the client made a point of recognising how calmly and quickly we responded to the weather curveball.

One of those days where everything (even the unexpected) came together just right.
